Trumpet
The trumpet is the highest sounding instrument in the brass family, and it is usually recognized by its bright and clear sound. The trumpet reads music in the treble clef and often plays the melody (or lead) parts. The trumpet is also heard in jazz and pop music as well as many famous movie soundtracks. Similar to most brass instruments, the trumpet has three valves and is played by vibrating one's lips on a mouthpiece.
