Flute
The flute is the highest sounding instrument in the 6th grade band and a member of the woodwind family. The flute reads treble clef music and usually has the melody, or lead part with a clear and beautiful sound. Playing the flute is similar to blowing across a Coca-Cola bottle and requires lots of air to play (because much of the air is not actually going into the instrument).
